Yukiko Makihara
Graduated in 2008 from Tecnológico de Monterrey,
degree in industrial design.
- 2008 to 2011. worked in the glass industry in Grupo
Pavisa. Founder of the design department of said company.
- 2011- present. Form your own glass workshop,
self-taught in blowtorch glass. Later he learned glass techniques by
“Romero-Gurman” glass school kiln.
- 2013. Attended a course by Wesley Fleming at “The studio”
at the Corning Glass Museum NY. Learning glass sculpture techniques
gentle.
- 2017 – 2020. Taught classes on industrial processes and
Study glass techniques at the University Center for Design, Film and
television.
- 2011-2021. Worked at the lighting company Niche
Modern as an independent designer and quality control.
- 2022. Exhibits his glass works of art at the 1st Biennial
Ibero-American Artistic Glass in the Municipal Museum of Cartago in Costa
Delicious.
Silvia Levenson's teaching assistant in the course of
glass melting in a furnace within the framework of the 1st Ibero-American Biennial of
Artistic Glass in Costa Rica.
Invited by the University of Costa Rica as
lecturer.
Finalist in the international flame glass competition
organized by the Bogotá Glass Museum, in Colombia.
